I got enough gift cards from the older kids to get all the books on "my list". Now I just need to find the time to read them all! The gift Ryan and the girls got me is Super Special! I have wanted a Bible with my married name on it since I became Ryan's wife 9 years ago. This is what they chose for me.
I LOVE everything about it!! I LOVE that it's pink! I LOVE that it has The Message and the NIV version parallel on the pages! It's absolutely PERFECT!

I would have to say the best birthday gift I ever received was probably one of the best birthdays in general because of a couple of gifts. It was my 30th birthday. I had a surprise picnic at the park with all of my friends and family. Then my husband gave me my first Willow Tree, Mother and Son, but WITH that he gave me Brothers, so together they look like me and my three boys. But a dear friend also gave me a mother's bracelet with all three of my boys' names on it!
(BTW, where DID they find that bible? I want one and not just cause it's pink!!!)

The best birthday gift I ever got was a round-trip ticket to Hawaii from my parents and my boyfriend's (now husband) parents. It was a combined Christmas/Birthday thing since they are a few weeks apart. We had only been dating for about 6 months at that point and seen each other a few times. The tickets allowed me to not only go to Hawaii to meet his parents in person, but see him, and spend New Year's Eve with everyone. We were both college students, I was unemployed, and the trip was very generous!

Well, I'm late for the drawing but I had to comment anyway. First, that Bible is FABULOUS! I can't wait to see it in person so just get ready to hand it over the next time I see you at church. I can't imagine a better gift than the Word of God bound by beautiful "Barbie Pink" leather. As for my favorite birthday gift of all times, I don't know that I really have one but one that makes me smile every time I think of it was a pink (what else) down filled pillow with a drawing of Charlie Brown on top. It was so special to me because my little dog took it over and it became his pillow for all his years to come. I loved that I was able to provide him with the softest and cuddliest place to curl up and sleep. Sweet memories, thanks, Maggie.
